Metro Bank Colleague Volunteers at Battle of the Proms

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Reading resident and Business Development Manager Rebekah Burke recently volunteered at the Battle of the Proms held in Oxford’s Blenheim Palace to help raise nearly £11,000 for the Armed Forces’ charity, SSAFA.

The community bank recognises that during normal opening hours, a busy banking hall with shiny surfaces and a loud coin counting Magic Money Machine can be a stressful situation for people who are sensitive to light and noise.

Bradford Metro Bank Hosts Howling Wolf as Part of Summer Trail Event

There is a new addition to Metro Bank’s Bradford store in Market Street this summer as the Bank plays host to the Howling Wolf from Saturday July 22nd to Sunday August 6th  -  part of the BRICKLIVE event being organised by Bradford BID. The BrickLive trail theme is a Fantasy Kingdom which comprises 15 large installations of mystical and fantasy figures including unicorns, dragons, and warriors being placed around the city centre for visitors to find.

Wolverhampton Metro Bank Welcomes Dogs & Dinosaurs?

Wolverhampton Metro Bank has always welcomed dogs, but visitors to the Dudley Street store should look out for a new four legged creature this summer – the Oviraptor dinosaur. Billed as a Roarsome Adventure – Wolverhampton Bid will be populating the town with dinosaurs from 22nd July through to 28th August as part of its Jurassic Dinosaur trail event for local children.

Manchester Metro Bank Puts School Children in the Money Zone

Metro Bank colleagues from the Manchester store have delivered Money Zone – financial education workshops – to over 60 children in year 5 from Ellenbrook Community Primary School. The aim of the complimentary workshops is to raise financial awareness in students from a young age.

Southend Metro Bank Colleagues Volunteer at Tower Hill

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. For the second year running, four colleagues from Metro Bank’s Southend store chose to use their Days to Amaze as volunteers at the local Tower Hill Animal Sanctuary.
