Metro Bank colleagues from the Ashford store spent their Day to Amaze making friends with the elderly through Volunteer for Ashford’s befriending scheme – a service for adults over 50+ years who are isolated and lonely in the borough of Ashford.

Metro Bankers Step Up For Charity

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Twenty-five colleagues from across Metro Bank’s central London stores chose to take on a mammoth task for their Day to Amaze by walking nine miles in aid of Royal National Lifeboat Institution, a charity saving lives at sea around the British coastline.

Colleagues from Metro Bank’s Colchester store chose to use their Days to Amaze volunteering at the Colchester Emergency Night Shelter (CENS) to get it ready for reopening on June 26th.
