F1k – Northampton Metro Bank Colleagues Race to Help Raise £1000 For Local Charities

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Metro Bank colleagues from the Northampton store spent their Day to Amaze participating in a karting event organised by The Rotary Club to help raise £1000 split between two local charities, The Lewis Foundation and KidsAid.

Metro Bank colleagues from the Ashford store spent their Day to Amaze making friends with the elderly through Volunteer for Ashford’s befriending scheme – a service for adults over 50+ years who are isolated and lonely in the borough of Ashford.

Metro Bankers Step Up For Charity

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Twenty-five colleagues from across Metro Bank’s central London stores chose to take on a mammoth task for their Day to Amaze by walking nine miles in aid of Royal National Lifeboat Institution, a charity saving lives at sea around the British coastline.

Colleagues from Metro Bank’s Colchester store chose to use their Days to Amaze volunteering at the Colchester Emergency Night Shelter (CENS) to get it ready for reopening on June 26th.

Metro Bank Shirt Sponsor for Celebrity Street Soccer Match

The community bank, Metro Bank, is the official shirt sponsor for a charity football match taking place at Maidstone United FC’s The Gallagher Stadium, on Friday 17th December. Stars from television and sport are joining together to raise funds for the Street Soccer Foundation, a Kent based sport for change charity, with the match being organised by Sellebrity Soccer.

Colleagues from Metro Bank’s marketing department decided to use their Day to Amaze by volunteering for Ace of Clubs where they helped prepare over a hundred meals for homeless people.
