Throughout the month of November, a colleague from the UK’s Community Bank Metro Bank participated in ‘Team Bones 100km Dog Walk Challenge’ and took his dog on a cracking one hundred kilometre walk to raise funds for Bone Cancer Research Trust – a charity supporting people with primary bone cancer.
The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Colleagues from Metro Bank’s Solihull store chose to use their Day to Amaze by volunteering for Acorns Children’s Hospice – a charity providing palliative care and support to babies, children and young people aged up to 18 suffering from life threatening illnesses.
Metro Bank colleagues from the Crawley store have delivered Money Zone - a financial education workshop - to year 5 students at Desmond Anderson Primary School. The aim of the complimentary workshop is to raise financial awareness in students from a young age.
