On Saturday 18th September, Orpington colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, will participate in ‘Parksfest’ in Wynford Way Field. Parksfest celebrates the town through a series of exciting activities including a dog show and cultural entertainment for the whole family.
Maidstone Metro Bank colleague Abbie Barrett recently joined thousands of others in a ten kilometre run around the beautiful Kew Gardens in Richmond to raise funds for health charities.
Metro Bank champions its local communities and colleagues from the Birmingham store will not only walk in the Pride parade but also distribute rainbow themed fun gifts from its branded stall including foam snap bands, flower stickers, heart stickers and rainbow stickers to participants.
Crawley Metro Bank Attends Freshers’ Fair Over the past two days this week, Crawley colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, joined Crawley College’s Freshers’ Fair to help the five hundred students attending with their banking needs.
The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Colleagues from Metro Bank’s Oxford store chose to use their Day to Amaze by volunteering for Ronald McDonald House Charities - a charity which provides free accommodation for families whose children are in hospital.
“Our nation’s business employers are predominantly small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and this competition reflects their entrepreneurial spirit with a business challenge that tests the students’ team working, creativity, time management and communication skills - everything SMEs of the future will need,” explains Tom Meggison, Eastbourne Metro Bank’s local director
On Saturday 4th September, Canterbury Metro Bank colleagues joined Strode Park Foundation volunteers to help stage the Theatre in the Park live country music event organized for people with disabilities.
On Saturday 4th September, the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, will support ‘SmartKid Expo’ an event organized by the Smart Kid charity that promotes quality skills and talent development in young adults and children. SmartKid Expo is a free event comprising a variety of educational activities and creative workshops to help inspire children to believe in themselves and reach their full potential.
On Sunday 29th August, Crawley colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, will be joining voices with the Crawley LGBTQ+ community to celebrate Pride.
On Monday 23rd August, Luton colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank will join in to support ‘Wicketz’ taking place in Luton. Wicketz is a cricket programme funded by Lord’s Tarverners which aims to provide cricket opportunities and teach fundamental life skills to young people aged 8-19 living in highly populated and deprived communities.
