On Monday 23rd August, Luton colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank will join in to support ‘Wicketz’ taking place in Luton. Wicketz is a cricket programme funded by Lord’s Tarverners which aims to provide cricket opportunities and teach fundamental life skills to young people aged 8-19 living in highly populated and deprived communities.
Enfield colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank will join in all the festivities around ‘A Month of Sundays’ throughout August. A Month of Sundays festival celebrates the town through a series of exciting activities, art, dance groups, music bands and games for the kids on school holidays.

Colleagues from Metro Bank’s Croydon’s store have just completed a charity golf challenge to raise £600 for The Katie Haines Memorial Trust. Just two months after her wedding, aged 31, Katie died of an accidental carbon monoxide poisoning at her home. The Katie Haines Memorial Trust was founded by her family to raise awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide.
Metro Bank colleagues from the Newbury store have partnered with Education Business Partnership, a charity whose mission is to equip young children with vital skills needed to reach their full potential when they eventually join the workforce. The Newbury colleagues supported the charity’s Ready Steady Jobs event aimed at introducing primary school children to different career choices and helping them shape their thoughts as they set off for secondary school.

Colleagues from Metro Bank’s Birmingham store chose to take on a mammoth task for their Day to Amaze by climbing Mount Snowdon in aid of Edward’s Trust, a charity which provides support to people affected by grief.
