Metro Bank’s ‘Scam of the Month’ of August 2023 is a warning about the rise in malware attacks against UK bank customers. Malware, or malicious software, is designed by criminals to compromise devices including computers, laptops, and mobile phones. Globally, 5.5 billion malware attacks were reported last year.
Metro Bank remains in the top spot in the Competition and Markets Authority’s latest Service Quality Survey for overall service to its personal current account customers for the eleventh time running.

While two thirds (66%) of parents give their children pocket money, research by Metro Bank shows that more than a quarter (26%) would stop this due to wider financial concerns.
