The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. For the second year running, four colleagues from Metro Bank’s Southend store chose to use their Days to Amaze as volunteers at the local Tower Hill Animal Sanctuary.

Guest speaker is Robert Muldoon who will be discussing mental health issues from his experience in the construction industry. Rob will not only discuss his own mental health journey, but also offer tips and tricks. Rob runs the success mental health podcast – MYH.

Colchester Metro Bank colleagues will celebrate Armed Forces Day this weekend with a treat in store for local children as well as offering drop in sessions aimed at veterans and armed forces personnel, from 11am – 3pm on both days.
Manchester Metro Bank colleagues will celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday 24 June. The annual celebration offers the chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets. The colleagues will attend the key event at the Stockport Centre which starts at 10am and will be collecting donations for Veterans into Logistics charity.
Aylesbury Metro Bank colleagues have delivered Money Zone – financial education workshops – to over 30 pupils from Wingrave Church of England School. The aim of the complimentary workshops is to raise financial awareness in students from a young age.
Metro Bank store colleagues in Bromley, Epsom, Guildford and Swindon have now been trained to offer a Safe Space to domestic abuse victims, many of whom are also victims of economic abuse by their partners
