Crafty Crufts

Metro Bank colleagues volunteered to help Birmingham Dogs Home at this year’s Crufts – helping out with the stand and kids craft section for which Metro Bank donated 500 windmills, packs of crayons and financial education sheets with colouring in for kids to play with while their parents chatted with the Home staff about donations and adoptions.

Charity Clothing Challenge Accepted

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Metro Bank colleagues from the corporate affairs department spent their Day to Amaze organising clothes and volunteering for Whitechapel Mission.

Bradford Metro Bank is undertaking the Great Accumulator Challenge to trade up £30 into £3,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice by the end of March.  The store is also working with many local Bradford businesses to collect prizes for a charity fundraising auction.

Oxford Metro Bank Celebrates International Women’s Day by Hosting Imposter Syndrome Seminar

In the spirit of celebrating International Women’s Day, Oxford Metro Bank will be hosting a seminar organised by Oxfordshire Women’s Forum. The seminar will focus on imposter syndrome, understanding the different ways that it can manifest itself in everyday life and sharing tools to combat it. The event will take place on Tuesday 15 March at 6pm in Metro Bank’s Queen Street store.

Hemel Hempstead Metro Bank supports students in raising over £1200 for local charity

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, recently co-hosted a networking event with pupils from John F Kennedy Catholic School participating in the ‘Dragon's Apprentice Challenge’, which along with other fund raising efforts, helped to raise £1245.97 for The Blue Tangerine Charity. The event took place at Metro Bank’s Hemel Hempstead store and focused on health, wealth and happiness to help create a positive start to 2022, with attendee’s donating to The Blue Tangerine Charity upon arrival.

Metro Bank invites Swindon Entrepreneurs and Businesses to New Networking Group

On Friday 25th March, Swindon’s Metro Bank store will launch a new networking group called ‘Swindon Metro Bank Breakfast Group’. The aim of the group is to support local entrepreneurs and businesses to grow and flourish by making new connections and mentors. The group consists of business professionals and will meet on a fortnightly basis to have meaningful conversations, exchange ideas and create long lasting relationships.
