Colleagues from Wolverhampton’s Metro Bank will be supporting women in two ways this year to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th. The Dudley Street store and its colleagues will turn purple during Empurple Week (March 7th – 13th) as this is the colour most associated with a stand against domestic abuse of women. Colleagues will also be volunteering as painters and decorators for The Haven charity.
Santa’s Black Country Toy Appeal which believes no child should go without at Christmas is taking on the challenge to ensure every local child in need will receive an Easter egg this year. Merry Hill Metro Bank located at 50 Two Woods Lane, Brierley Hill, DY5 1TA will be collecting local donations of Easter eggs for the charity

Visitors to the stores will also have the opportunity to grab a selfie with the store’s mascot – Metro Man - whose face will form the centre of a daffodil in a new specially commissioned addition to his normal kit.

Its stores in Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton and Merry Hill have all joined forces to sponsor a kennel at Birmingham Dogs Home with Bank colleagues pledging to fundraise and volunteer for the dogs throughout 2022. The first rehoming event held in the Solihull Metro Bank store proved a great success with all the dogs who were showcased on the day now finding their forever homes except for “Wonky” Wendy.
