Bradford Metro Bank was able to present a cheque for £589.66 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance thanks to the generous donations from its customers.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopters fly seven days a week, 365 days a year. One of the helicopter flies with a consultant doctor with experience in Accident & Emergency with a specialism in anaesthesiology and then a crew consisting of a highly experienced pilot, a qualified technical crew member and two specialist critical care paramedics. The highly skilled teams that responds to those in urgent need or emergency care, start their specialised treatment at the scene of an incident before they are transported to an appropriate major trauma centre or another hospital for further medical care.
“Thanks to the generosity of our customers, we have been able to make this donation,” explains Denis Charlette, Store Manager, Bradford Metro Bank. “The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an independent charity and receives no funding from the government or the NHS. The charity relies solely on the generosity of its supporters to keep their life-saving missions possible.”
