Bradford Metro Bank is supporting the Super SoapBox Challenge on Sunday April 30th at Kirkgate.
Teams of five will race down a ramp and across the 350 metres long course in their home made soapbox vehicles using nothing but gravity, courage and a bit of lunacy to raise large amounts of money for local charities.
“As a community bank, how could we not get involved in this plainly bonkers event,” explains Bradford Metro Bank’s Store Manager Denis Charlette. “We are sponsoring the medals and winner’s cup for the most community minded local team as well as providing 200 goodies bags as a huge thank you for all participants, For the kids attending the event – look out for our friendly mascot Metro Man as he loves taking selfies.’’
Metro Bank’s Bradford store can be found at 5 Market Street, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD1 1EG. The store is open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
