Metro Bank’s Chelmsford store will be supporting the Chelmsford Skills Festival on Friday June 30th at Writtle University College.
The Skills Festival is organised to advise local students on the career and work options available to them. As a community bank, Metro Bank actively participates in career development and will be there to talk to the students about banking and what life is like working in a bank. Over a thousand young people are expected to attend the event.
‘Metro Bank famously hires for attitude and trains for skill and this approach means we attract enthusiastic people people – previous financial services experience is simply not necessary,’’ explains Colchester Metro Bank Store Manager, Sue O’Brien. ‘We were voted in the top ten of the UK’s Most Loved Workplaces this year, so our innovative approach to recruitment is really valued by our colleagues and independently verified.’’
Visitors to the festival should check out the Metro Bank stand which will feature some maths related games for the students to solve, as well as complimentary goody bags for them to enjoy and take away.
Metro Bank’s Chelmsford store can be found at 38 High Street, Chelmsford, CM1 1BE.
The store is currently open Monday – Saturday 8:30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
