Metro Bank’s Crawley store donated nearly 50 items and £500 to help support Crawley Open House as part of its Christmas Community Campaign to spread the warmth this winter. In recognition of the current cost of living challenges. Metro Bank donated £35,000 to over 70 community charities, all of which are local to its stores, instead of having a Christmas tree in each store.
Crawley Open House provides support and services for those suffering the effects of homelessness, unemployment, loneliness, discrimination, or other forms of social exclusion. 0ver 3,671 times has Crawley Open House Outreach Workers supported someone sleeping rough or at risk of being homeless and they have supported over 39,000 people while providing over 48,000 meals with partner agencies.
Crawley residents and businesses donated some of the urgent items that the open house needed including food and clothes at the Queens Square store.
‘’We are very thankful to everyone who supported our campaign this Christmas.’’ explains Nicky Ascenso, Crawley Metro Bank’s store manager. ‘‘Crawley Open House does an incredible job in supporting those who are most in need and we are really proud that thanks to our customers and donors, we were able to make a difference this Christmas in some small way.’’
