Leicester Metro Bank Colleagues Donate Hundreds of Easter Eggs

Leicester colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank were busy this week donating hundreds of Easter Eggs between two local good causes – Leicester’s Children Hospital and Pedestrian.

Pedestrian is a leading arts organisation and charity specialising in music and arts education based in the heart of Leicester’s bustling city centre.  The charity provides education, training and outreach projects for young people in adverse and challenging circumstances, vulnerable adults and communities in Leicester, Leicestershire and across the Midlands. Its participants are often socially excluded, not in education, employment or training (NEET) or experiencing disadvantage.

Customer Service Representative Brett Carney was the driving force behind these donations championing the local community to donate 290 Easter Eggs – a cracking achievement.  Brett was supported by his colleagues at Leicester Metro Bank who was able to ensure every child in Leicester’s Children Hospital each received an Easter Egg.

“Easter and its association with chocolate should be one of the best times of the year for children,” explained Leicester Metro Bank Customer Service Representative Brett Carney. ”I always loved Easter as a kid and I was inspired to make sure that other children didn’t miss out this year.  Thanks to everyone who supported the campaign and to my colleagues for helping to distribute over 200 of the Easter Eggs at the hospital.”

“As a community bank we are always keen to support our local community,” commented Leicester Metro Bank Store Manager Stuart Williams. “Thanks to everyone’s generous donations and the outstanding efforts of Brett and the team lots of kids are not going to miss out this Easter.”

The Leicester Metro Bank store is located at 1 Haymarket, Leicester, LE1 3GD.
