Luton Metro Bank Hosts Inspiring International Women’s Day Event
To celebrate today’s International Women’s Day (March 8th) Luton Metro Bank hosted an inspiring event earlier this week, featuring guest speakers Meeta Patel, Ruth Robb, and Sarah Loftus. The celebrations took place at the Castle Street store and showcased the remarkable contributions of women in Luton’s community and highlighted the importance of collaboration for community evolvement.
Meeta Patel, representing the Luton Town and Indians Cricket Club, Ruth Robb from the local charity Azalea, and Sarah Loftus from the Luton All Women’s Centre, graced the event with their insightful perspectives and experiences. Their inspiring speeches resonated with the attendees, shedding light on working together for the betterment of the community and encouraging attendees to make a difference in their own sphere of influence.
With over 35 attendees, the event witnessed a heart-warming display of generosity from all participants, who donated essential food and toiletries which were shared between the two charities presenting.
“We are immensely proud to have hosted such a meaningful event in celebration of International Women’s Day,” says Luton Metro Bank Local Director, Hazel Simpson. “It was great to see the community spirit that is flourishing in Luton between businesses, not for profit sector and community groups, where all three guest speakers were keen to convey that they work collaboratively for the benefit of the community.”
