Four colleagues from Epsom Metro Bank, Francesca Merlino, Jack Slaughter, Aleksandra Jaroszewska, Veronica Borowik, and Ellie Bray, have spearheaded the Money Zone initiative, delivering invaluable insights and money lessons to 40 young ladies from Rowan Prep School.
Money Zone is a series of financial education lessons that Metro Bank offers to children - either virtually or in store. Money Zone comprises of four sessions - budgeting, saving, banking and the last session which takes place in store gave the students a behind the scenes look at the Bank including a visit to the vault and the chance to try the coin counting Magic Money Machine. Metro Bank has delivered its Money Zone programme to over 250,000 children in 2,900 schools.
Through engaging workshops and fun interactive sessions, Epsom Metro Bank colleagues provided practical insights into the importance of financial responsibility from an early age. The highlight of the event was a thrilling treasure hunt, where the participants put their newly acquired financial knowledge to the test in a real-life scenario.
“Seeing these 40 young ladies dive into the Money Zone with enthusiasm and determination was truly inspiring,” says Epsom Metro Bank Store Manager, Francesca Merlino. “Empowering young women to take charge of their financial futures isn’t just about numbers; it’s about unlocking their potential and fuelling their dreams.”
Metro Bank’s Epsom store is located at 91A High St, Epsom KT19 8DR. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday 08:30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
