Metro Bank Inspire Future Leaders at Eastbourne’s Big Future Show
Colleagues from Eastbourne Metro Bank have once again demonstrated their commitment to supporting local talent at Eastbourne College’s annual Big Future Show. Since 2018, Metro Bank has been an active participant in this hallmark event in Eastbourne College’s calendar which serves as a platform for local businesses to showcase their work, interact with students, and provide valuable guidance to them as they embark on their professional journeys.
Colleagues from Metro Bank also had the opportunity to network with other local businesses, further strengthening ties within the vibrant Eastbourne business community.
“Events like Big Future Show gives us the chance to help shape tomorrow’s leaders,” explains Eastbourne Metro Bank Local Business Manager, George Flegg. “We deliver employment and skills programmes specifically supporting a range of diverse communities including candidates who have left care, people with offending backgrounds and disabled people. We offer personalised support that removes barriers to applying for suitable roles (CV writing, interviewing skills etc.). We run several apprenticeship schemes, and more than half of our apprentices are from the 40% most deprived communities in the UK.”
