Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Guildford Metro Bank colleagues Abi Bowden, Daniel Wilkie, Molly Howard and Ollie Brown recently dedicated their Day to Amaze volunteering to wrap Christmas presents for the public, an initiative organised by Experience Guildford, the town’s Business Improvement District (BID) company. This festive effort raised an impressive £1187.92 to support Real Change Guildford.
Real Change Guildford provides essential help to individuals experiencing homelessness by funding practical items and opportunities they need to rebuild their lives. From providing clothes for an interview, rent money up front, or training courses, the charity offers the vital tools needed to make a fresh start.
“At Metro Bank, giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do,” said Abi Bowden, Local Director at Guildford Metro Bank and Chair of the Board of Directors for Experience Guildford. “Supporting Real Change Guildford through such a meaningful and hands-on initiative was an incredibly rewarding experience. Not only did we raise vital funds for Real Change Guildford, but we also brought a bit of festive cheer to the community. A huge thank you to the volunteers and the Experience Guildford BID team for organizing this incredible effort.”
