Metro Bank’s Lending Team Volunteers at Oxfam
The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Five colleagues from Metro Bank’s Lending Operations Team recently volunteered at Oxfam. Their volunteer activities ranged from sorting and steaming donated clothing, to pricing stock and serving customers.
This marks the fourth occasion this year that Metro Bank’s Lending Operations Team has supported Oxfam demonstrating their unwavering commitment to giving back to the community. Oxfam managers have continuously expressed deep appreciation for the kindness and willingness of the Metro Bank volunteers, noting the significant difference they’ve made after every visit.
And the good news doesn’t stop here! More volunteer days have already been scheduled ensuring that the partnership between Metro Bank and Oxfam continues to thrive and flourish.
“Volunteering at Oxfam is always so rewarding – it’s why we keep coming back to support them. It’s great to see how their work directly benefits the local community,” says Mortgage Underwriting Manager, Ash Narendran. “It’s a fantastic way for colleagues to bond outside of the office, while making a difference. We’re excited to see this partnership continue to grow.”
