Metro Bank’s Luton store is collecting Easter egg donations to help support Luton Foodbank as part of its Easter appeal.
Luton Foodbank provides free, nutritionally balanced, and culturally appropriate food to people in hardship or distress who are referred by a network of partner agencies as well as signposting information to local advice and information services.
Luton residents and businesses can donate any size Easter egg at its Castle Street store.
“Easter is a highlight for chocolate treats in any kid’s calendar and as a community bank we want to really help everyone be able to celebrate despite the challenging economic times,” explains Luton Metro Bank Store Manager, Yasmin Suleman. “We want to spread that joy by collecting as many Easter Eggs as possible to donate to the community. Luton’s generosity has meant we have already received a lot of donations but we are keen to collect more.”
All donations are welcome at Metro Bank’s Luton store at 10-20 Castle Street, Luton, LU1 3AJ. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday 8:30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm. Luton Metro Bank is also part of the Safe Space scheme – the store is available to anyone experiencing, or at risk of domestic abuse, providing the opportunity to safely call a helpline, support service or loved one.
