Metro Bank Colleagues Dedicate Time to Oxfam Charity Efforts
The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Metro Bank colleagues from the Mortgage Team have recently dedicated their time to support Oxfam, a global organization working to alleviate poverty and injustice around the world.
Organized by Tasha Moore, this marks the team’s third volunteering effort with the charity, demonstrating appreciation and support for the work they do in the community.
Metro Bank colleagues enthusiastically engaged in various tasks including steaming and sorting clothes, serving customers at the till, and assisting with stock management.
“It’s heartening to see the positive impact our contributions make, and we will be back again next month to continue supporting Oxfam’s mission,” says Metro Bank’s Mortgage Arrears Manager, Ross Buchanan. “Volunteering with Oxfam is not just about lending a helping hand but also about nurturing connections and making a difference in the lives of those in need.”
