Piccadilly Metro Bank is hosting a complimentary event for working women to celebrate International Women’s Day on Tuesday March 8th. To celebrate this year’s theme – Break the Bias – guest speakers will be exploring the importance of flexible working, gender equality and what bias in the workplace are holding businesses back.
Guest speakers are Juliet Turnbull, CEO and founder of 2to3days and Cat Wildman, CEO and founder of the Global Equality Collective.
“Metro Bank actively supports women in business and wanted to celebrate International Women’s day with an event that helps further understanding about inclusion in business”, said Simi Dubb, director of colleague experience and inclusion at Metro Bank. “We’re committed to supporting female entrepreneurs with access to tools, resources and finance and are signatories to the Investing in Women Code. As an employer, we take responsibility for creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace for women at all stages of their career. Additionally, we work with BAME Recruitment, a diversity and inclusion consultancy, to attract and engage candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds encompassing race, ethnicity, gender and disability amongst others, to support our continued efforts to build a truly inclusive working environment.”
Juliet Turnbull’s 2to3days is the UK’s leading female focussed recruitment marketplace which champions equality in the workplace through the power of flexible working. The company was created to resolve the disconnect between employers who struggle to attract and retain capable and experienced female talent at mid to senior level, and to build diverse and inclusive workplaces with women who struggle to find employers who want to hire them to work flexibly so that they can stay in or return to the workforce.
Cat Wildman is a diversity, equality and inclusion expert, an award-winning digital product person and a mum of three. She is the co-founder of The Global Equality Collective, an app which gives leaders all the data, information and education they need to break their own new ground in gender equality and inclusion.
