Throughout the month of November, a colleague from the UK’s Community Bank Metro Bank participated in ‘Team Bones 100km Dog Walk Challenge’ and took his dog on a cracking one hundred kilometre walk to raise funds for Bone Cancer Research Trust – a charity supporting people with primary bone cancer.
Team Bones 100km Dog Walk Challenge is a fundraiser for people living with bone cancer. Dog lovers who signed up aimed to walk one hundred kilometres with their dogs with the goal of raising £120.
Islington resident, Andre Andrez and his dog, Peanut have completed an impressive three hundred and seventeen kilometre walk and so far have raised over £120.
“As a dog-friendly bank, we are glad to jump on this pawsome challenge,” says Andre Andrez, Metro Bank’s lending servicing specialist. “Peanut and I are used to taking walks 3-4 times a day and we are happy to be part of this challenge knowing doing something so simple would make such a difference. Well done to Peanut for powering through and a massive thanks to everyone who has helped us in raising £120 – money that will make a real difference in the lives of those suffering from bone cancer.”
