The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Metro Bank colleagues used their Day to Amaze to support Harrow Shopmobility raising £455.54 for the charity.
Harrow Shopmobility provides invaluable assistance to those facing mobility issues in the Harrow Middlesex area. Its services include providing mobility scooters, power-chairs, wheelchairs, both transit and self-propelled. Three and four wheeled walkers, walking frames, walking sticks and crutches for hire to make the local community more accessible to everyone.
Metro Bank colleagues Mandakini Sharma, Bhumit Shah, Varunica Sritharan and Jeevan Brar rolled up their sleeves and got wrapping helping to raise over £400 with this much appreciated gift-wrapping service.
“We were all keen to do something to support this charity as it is plays such a fundamental role making our local community more accessible for all,” explained Merina Rai, Harrow Metro Bank’s Assistant Store Manager. “A huge thanks to everyone who use the gift wrapping service and helped raise these much needed funds.”
Metro Bank’s Harrow store can be found at Unit 1-2 St Ann’s Shopping Centre, Harrow, HA1 1AS. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am - 6pm and Sunday: 11am - 5pm. Harrow Metro Bank is part of the Safe Space scheme – the store is available to anyone experiencing, or at risk of domestic abuse, providing the opportunity to safely call a helpline, support service or loved one.
