Metro Bank, the UK’s community bank, has been committed to providing instore services in the Welsh language and now its customers can use its Automated Teller Machines (ATM) in both English and Welsh.
Metro Bank understands the importance of a bilingual service and recognises that the Welsh language provides not only an identity, but also a sense of belonging for many in the country. Metro Bank continues to work towards developing practical and valuable ways to offer Welsh language services to its customers. Colleagues are continuously given the opportunity to learn the Welsh language to be able to serve a wider audience.
“We are proud to provide more opportunities for Welsh speakers to use their native language on a day to day basis,” explained John Lloyd-Jones, Metro Bank’s Cardiff local director. “We believe that this new language service at our ATMs will be appreciated by our local communities.”
