The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, recently volunteered its Crawley’s store facilities to help fundraise for Crawley Veterans Drop-in Centre.
The fundraising activity raised £928.36 which was presented as Metro Bank cheques to Walking With the Wounded (WWTW) and PTSD Resolution – charities providing medical support to veterans and their families.
Crawley Veterans Drop-in Centre is open every Monday as a welcoming and relaxing place for military veterans and their family members to meet for a social catch up, or to visit for confidential welfare and clinical support. The centre is run by veterans and their families for veterans and their families.
Metro Bank recently received the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award in recognition of the Bank’s support towards the Armed Forces community. Nicky Ascenso, Crawley Metro Bank store manager said: “As a Forces-inclusive bank, it was an honour to volunteer our facilities. We are proud of our continuous support to the military community and we look forward to providing even more support in the future.”
Metro Bank’s Crawley store is located at 25 Queens Square, Crawley RH10 1HA. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday 08:30am - 6pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm and opening new personal and business accounts both with and without an appointment.
