Metro Bank Supports Kennel Club’s Appeal for Ukraine Dogs
Famously dog friendly Metro Bank has made a donation to the Kennel Club’s Charitable Trust Appeal to support dogs in Ukraine. The Bank has also made a donation to the Disaster Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian appeal and many of its stores are fundraising and donating time to support refugees in their local communities.
Along with many other animal charities, the Kennel Club is fundraising to help Ukrainian dogs and their owners and breeders as more than six and half million people have been displaced from and within Ukraine. Within Ukraine, the FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale) is using its network of kennel clubs in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to rescue and rehome abandoned dogs. The Kennel Club is aiming to raise over £250,000 for the FCI.
Britain is a nation of dog lovers and the appeal has received support from dog lovers around the UK including fundraising support from breed clubs, dog shows, dog grooming salons, dog walkers, dog trainers, schools and community groups.
