On Saturday 4th September, the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, will support ‘SmartKid Expo’ an event organized by the Smart Kid charity that promotes quality skills and talent development in young adults and children. SmartKid Expo is a free event comprising a variety of educational activities and creative workshops to help inspire children to believe in themselves and reach their full potential.
Metro Bank has helped the charity stuff the goody bags with fun items including cinch sacks, M-shaped coin banks and ‘kids rock’ pencil cases.
“As a community bank, we are honored to be part of this event and want to encourage and inspire children to aim higher,” explains Liza Harvey, Bromley Metro Bank’s store manager. “We love working with kids and providing fundamental financial life skills such as saving and budgeting tips through our Money Zone programme – a free financial education workshop which over 50,000 children have completed.”
Metro Bank’s Bromley store is located at 72-76 High St, Bromley BR1 1EG. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday 10am - 5pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
