Oxford Metro Bank is excited to announce a successful delivery of its first Money Zone Programme of the year, aimed at educating and inspiring young savers. Oxford Metro Bank colleagues Nicky Beckman, Mohsin Malik, Huma Rehman, and Jabile Eric, facilitated an engaging session for Year 5 students from St John Fisher Catholic Primary School.
Money Zone is a series of financial education lessons that Metro Bank offers to children - either virtually or in store. Money Zone comprises of four sessions - budgeting, saving, banking and the last session which takes place in store gave the students a behind the scenes look at the Bank including a visit to the vault and the chance to try the coin counting Magic Money Machine. Metro Bank has delivered its Money Zone programme to over 250,000 children in 2,900 schools.
Oxford colleagues delivered an interactive session, fostering fun and educational environment where students learned practical strategies for saving and managing money effectively. “The kids really loved the fun interactive sessions and asked lots of questions about money and budgeting,” says Oxford Metro Bank Customer Service Representative, Nicky Beckman.
Oxford Metro Bank Assistant Store Manager, Mohsin Malik added: “Through initiatives like the Money Zone Programme, we aim to equip children with the skills and knowledge necessary to make informed financial decisions throughout their lives.”

The store is currently open Monday – Saturday: 8.30am - 6pm, Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
