Solihull Metro Bank Colleagues Support Community in Cycling Marathon

The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Solihull Metro Bank Customer Service Representatives, Fin Elwell-Jones, Callum Lyddy, and Sully Kadri recently participated in the prestigious ‘Tour De National League’ cycle marathon hosted by Solihull Moors Foundation and Solihull Chamber of Commerce at Touchwood Shopping Centre.

Solihull Moors Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to providing vital support and educational resources to individuals and families in Solihull. Through a diverse range of programs and initiatives, the foundation endeavours to enhance the quality of life and foster inclusive communities.

The ‘Tour De National League’ cycle marathon is aimed at raising funds for the charity to help them continue their work across the wider community of Solihull. The cycle lasted 24 hours visiting all 24 Vanarama National league clubs in Touchwood Shopping Centre, measuring a total distance of 800 miles.

The spirited trio were amongst 66 participants and devoted two hours of rigorous cycling to raise funds for the esteemed Solihull Moors Foundation.

“I am honoured to have been approached by the Solihull Moor Foundation to participate in the ‘Tour De National League’ cycle marathon,” says Solihull Metro Bank Customer Service Representative, Sully Kadri. “Without hesitation, I integrated cycling training into my 6am morning routine workouts. The sense of accomplishment upon completing this endeavour is beyond words. I extend my gratitude to Solihull Moor Foundation for the opportunity.”

“We are thrilled to have taken part in this purposeful cycle marathon and helped in pedalling towards a brighter future for the Solihull community,” says Solihull Metro Bank Store Manager, Kulvinder Dhanda.
