Metro Bank Colleagues Tee Off & Raise Over £4000 at Charity Golf Day
Steve Degg and Paul Griffiths, putt on a fantastic show at the recent charity golf day held at Brough Golf Club, Brough, East Yorkshire. The event generated an impressive £4109.15 for Hey Smile Foundation and Macmillan Cancer Support. Eighteen teams, made up of local businesspeople, accountants, solicitors and finance brokers, joined forces for a day of friendly competition.
The Hey Smile Foundation is an organisation dedicated to improving lives through community-driven initiatives and partnerships in East Yorkshire. Macmillan Cancer Support is a leading UK charity providing comprehensive support to people affected by cancer through financial aid, practical assistance, and emotional guidance.
With perfect form, participants took to the course, ensuring it was a success both on and off the course. Between the swings and scorecards, there was plenty of time for networking, all while making a positive impact in the community.
Steve Degg, Metro Bank’s Local Director added, “We always strive to be the best drivers in the business, but it’s days like this that show how powerful teamwork, and a little healthy competition can be in supporting great causes.”
Paul Griffiths, Metro Bank’s Commercial Lending Director said, “We couldn’t be more thrilled with the support from everyone who chipped in.”
As the sun set on a fantastic day, the final total of £4109.15 will go a long way in supporting the charities. Metro Bank is proud to be part of such a strong community, where business and charity can go hand in hand, or should we say club in hand?
