METRO BANK COLLEAGUE JOINS KEW GARDENS 10K RUN
Maidstone Metro Bank colleague Abbie Barrett recently joined thousands of others in a ten kilometre run around the beautiful Kew Gardens in Richmond to raise funds for health charities.
The UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause. Abbie chose to use her Day to Amaze by participating in this fundraiser race for health charities.
“I love working somewhere that is so supportive of charity and good causes,” explained Metro Bank’s Maidstone Assistant Store Manager Abbie Barrett. “I sprained my ankle a few weeks prior to this event and I was worried about not being able to participate. However, the pain lessened and I did not want to miss out knowing every step would make a real difference. Congratulations to everyone who participated in raising money to help the charities make more of an impact.”
Metro Bank’s Maidstone store is located at 10 Week St, Maidstone ME14 1RN. The store is currently open Monday – Saturday 10am - 5pm. Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
