High Wycombe and Aylesbury Metro Bank support Big Walkers for local charity
Ella Mitchell, Nick Divers, Maciej Gasiorowski, Paul Wallis, Sim Sahotay and Bali Aujla – all colleagues from the Metro Banks in High Wycombe and Aylesbury donated time, food and drink to support the hundreds of walkers taking part in the Big Walk for The Pace Centre.
Metro Bank is the UK’s best community bank and colleagues are encouraged to support local good causes with each staff member having one paid day to volunteer.
The Big Walk participants – who walked up to 18 miles - enjoyed refreshments in part donated by Metro Bank which supplied 500 bottles of water and £200 of food – all to help fundraise for local charity Pace which helps children with motor disorders to achieve their full potential in life.
“It was great that colleagues from both stores could team up as with hundreds of walkers to support we were all kept very busy,” explained High Wycombe’s Metro Bank store manager Leanne Fox. “The weather was gloriously sunny so the walkers really needed to hydrate and keep their energy up so the time just flew by for us. Congratulations to everyone who participated and raised a small fortune for Pace.”
