Southend Metro Bank Hosts First Networking Event to Welcome Men
Southend Metro Bank recently held a Winning Women Essex networking event, co-hosted by some of the region’s most dynamic entrepreneurs and business leaders. For the first time in the history of the Winning Women Essex events, men were invited to join, marking a milestone in the group’s growth and commitment to inclusivity. Men are now invited to join the events quarterly.
Winning Women Essex is a dynamic networking group that brings together female entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals across the region. The group was founded to create an atmosphere where members can connect, share insights and grow their businesses.
The event featured a stellar line-up of co-hosts, including renowned entrepreneur Rosemary Cunningham, Mindfulness and wellbeing coach, Dan Thompson, Sinead Costello from Pyxis Financial Planning, and Ashlea Cole, Southend Metro Bank’s Local Business Manager. The causal, yet engaging format allowed attendees to enjoy brief speaker introductions and meaningful network opportunities. The evening was also supported by Metro Bank’s own Grace Penfold and Jodie Baldwin, whose involvement added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The next event is set to take place on 20th November from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Tickets are priced at just £5, with proceeds going to the Mumba Children Project, supporting a school in Zambia. The funds raised will both help pay for the teachers’ wages and provide school lunches for the children.
